Is it December already!?!

It has been fun to welcome the winter in Park City once again! But before winter really hit, we enjoyed a wonderful weekend in South Bend. With many Cronley family members also attending the Notre Dame vs. Utah football game, as well as many ND and Utah fans from Utah, it sure was a fun weekend! JB enjoyed all the sights of "Doe-Noe", the pep rally, tailgating, and visiting with ten of his cousins!! It made it even more fun when ND had a great game and upset the Utes!

We did have lots of early snow here in Park City, and we enjoyed awhite and cold Thanksgiving here with our parents and dear friends. So far, JB, seems to like the snow. He wasn't sure about the sledding at first, but he did like it after he got over the initial shock! It's only a matter of time before we put him on some skis!

JB also got his first haircut, courtesy of Honey, on November 28th. He looks so handsome!

Last, but not least, we have a couple of fun videos! JB is learning how to shop, just in time for the holidays, but he doesn't forget to stop and smell the flowers :)

He also can now count to 5 regularly. This video was takend Dec 2nd, and he's much improved since then (besides being ready for bed when this video was shot! I even overheard him today counting to 10!! Of course, we think he is the smartest little boy ever -- no bias at all!!

We had a fun early Christmas celebration weekend in Denver with Holly and Theo and other frieds, and de are looking forward to celebrating Christmas here in Park City!

Wedding, Cousins, Football season, and Halloween!

Has it really been two months since our last blog posting?!? So much fun, so little time to blog! We have lots of pictures to share!

September was highlighted by Holly and Theo's beautiful wedding at Sundance. We all had such a wonderful time celebrating with the newlyweds! Holly was a stunning bride! JB enjoyed getting all dressed up and walking down the aisle with Theo's nephew as ring bearers.

JB is also learning to enjoy watching football with his dad. He refers to any/all Notre Dame logos a "Doe-no" -- not sure how he got the sounds backwards!

We had a really fun weekend in California to visit Tom, Tracey, Marin and Ben. JB loved playing with his cousins and swimming in the pool! We also got to visit Hank, JB's great-grandfather!

JB had fun as a monkey for Halloween. We went to Main Street where they close off the street and have trick-or-treating in the stores. JB mostly just enjoyed visiting with friends and smooching Carmen, his friend from day care :)

JB continues to love his books, and he is learning all kinds of new words. Our favorite is "Ba-na-na," as displayed in this video!

We are looking forward to seeing lots of family this weekend in South Bend for the ND - Utah game!

August Vacation

Well, once again, time is getting away from me. I can't believe it is already September! While I always hope to have some time to do more photo and video editing, it just isn't happening. So, at least I have managed to get a slideshow of our recent pictures posted. We had a fantastic trip in August. We flew to Chicago and drove out to Sturgis, Michigan for Joe's High School reunion. Joe couldn't resist stopping at Notre Dame for a little walk on campus on the way to Michigan. After a nice long weekend in Sturgis, we spent a great day at Cedar Point, and then made our way to Columbus with a quick stop in Wadsworth, OH. We had a fun visit with the Woods cousins, including a great trip to the zoo. We then continued our drive over to Virginia, with a nice trip through the Shanendoah National Park. We spent the next long weekend in Charlottesville, exploring UVA and visiting with friends. The kids had almost as much fun together as the adults!



Next event...Aunt Holly and Theo Theo's wedding next weekend!!!

Birthday Party Pictures

As promised, I have put together a slideshow of pictures from JB's first birthday party. We had such a great time! JB loved all of his presents. He loves to make truck noises on his little four-wheeler, and he loves to go down the slide all by himself (sometimes head first!!). As you can see, he kicked back to relax while we all sang "Happy Birthday" to him, and he loved his yummy cake!! Believe it or not, I have edited some photos out, but there were so many good ones...

1st Birthday Party & June 2010 Pictures

We are having a wonderful and busy summer! Here are a few great pictures from JB's birthday party as a teaser. I will work on a slideshow soon. We had such a great time with aunts, uncles and cousins visiting, so more pictures are coming!










I also wanted to share our pictures from June, as there are some great ones. JB might be embarrassed by some of them :) We went to a concert at Deer Valley on JB's actual birthday, and we also had a fun weekend at Snowbird for Joe's regional meeting.

Happy Birthday JB!!

We can hardly believe that JB is 1 today! We are holding off on the official birthday celebrations until July 3rd when we will have aunts, uncles, and cousins to help us celebrate. So, we will post more pictures then, but we did snap a few of the little man this morning. JB was "patiently" waiting for his bottle as we made him pose for some shots!

April and May have been packed with fun activities, and I am finally getting around to putting up some more slideshows! We spent a great weekend in Moab where we met up with Aunt Holly and Uncle Theo and friends Terry and Jenny for some mountain biking and hiking. It won't be long before JB is leaving us all in the dust on his bike!

The first weekend in May we visited the Greenings in Des Moines for lots of fun celebrations. On Friday we celebrated with John for his Confirmation, and on Sunday Erin received her First Communion. We were so glad to be able to share in these special events, and JB had so much fun with his cousins!


JB is walking all over the place, has outgrown his infant car seat, he likes to eat whatever is in front of him, he is "SO BIG!", and he is really starting to like interacting with other kids. It is so much fun to watch him grow in every way!

Here is another slideshow from the first half of April. We also had a great Easter, and JB even learned to like his "Peter Cottontail" bunny. We have had lots of spring snow, including a storm this past Monday night. The ducks were confused Tuesday morning and thought our yard was a lake! Today was very warm, and we can now see a good deal of our grass now!


We are looking forward to adventures to Moab and Des Moines still yet to come in April!

Hitting the books!

Well Spring Break is over! And it's back to the books for JB! Uncle Boog believes that JB should be able to get AP credit for ND 101. This picture was taken by JB's first cousin twice removed, Dick Cronley, during his recent visit to Park City.

World Travels and Big Milestones

While Mom and Dad have been busy with wonderful travels, JB has been busy learning many new tricks!

I had a great long weekend in Vancouver to continue my Olympic adventures with Marcy! We saw the Ladies Freestyle Moguls event (in the rain!), toured around Vancouver, and had an amazing ski day at Whistler/Blackcomb. We were joined by Sarah and Jon, and we were able to visit and stay with Graham and Erin and his family - what a treat!

During my weekend away, JB decided he would make his crawling debut. Since then, he has sharpened his skills dramatically and we are continually learning how to baby-proof our house!

Joe and I then took off for a wonderful vacation in the BVI. We were spoiled with lots of R&R as we cruised around the islands on a double hull catamaran sailboat. We did some scuba diving - including a ship wreck and a night dive, snorkeling and swimming. Some of the highlights of the sea life we saw were a green moray eel free swimming, an giant sea turtle, barracudas, an octopus, sting rays, and lots of other cool and colorful fish!

It was wonderful to have a get-away, but it was also wonderful to see JB when we came back! We are so grateful that JB could stay with his grandparents and they could all enjoy the time together while we were away. Needless to say, he had fun without us and even saw a Mama and two baby moose with Teague!

He is now mastering pulling himself up, and transitioning from the walker to the couch, our legs, the ottoman, chairs, or anything else he can get his hands on!

I am working on some albums to post all of our photos, but that seems to be a never-ending project for me! We'll also work on getting some new JB videos up soon!
