Over the past week or so, we have been lucky enough to get some new toys! We got each other a new camera for Valentine's Day. Call me crazy, but I didn't like it when the shutter on my old one closed without warning! Nothing like a completely black picture when you are trying to get a shot of a friend's wedding! Here is a nice shot of Joe trying to figure out the "magic man" automatic feature. It took a few tries, but we have it figured out. To prove it, here is a picture we took while hiking with my parents on Sunday. It was unseasonably warm recently, and where we would normally snowshoe at this time of year, we were hiking through mud!
Joe has been wanting a new computer for some time now, so as a reward for passing the CFP Exam, he bought a new MacBook Pro! He took this picture of himself (with the automatic feature of the new camera!) opening the box while I was in Denver for work. Just like a little kid on Christmas morning!
He is having fun exploring the joys of a laptop and learning to use a Mac. Luckily, my mom, who is a Mac Pro, lives just up the street!Last night we finally got a few inches of new snow here in Park City, but we still could use much more. The skiing is good, though, so we can't complain too much. I was in Minneapolis a couple weeks ago when it was -20 at night with the highs reaching right around -5 degrees ..... Brrrrrr! Now that is COLD! Needless to say, I had cabin fever after 5 days straight in the hotel for our meetings. I have been traveling a lot lately, so it is nice to finally be home this week.
