The last weekend in August we met up with Cousin Eric Sheridan and his family near Pinedale, WY. Joe, JB and I rented a little cabin overlooking Half Moon Lake, and the Sheridans brought their camper and camped nearby. It was such a great weekend to get away, as schools had started up and the place was empty. We enjoyed visiting with and playing with all the extended cousins! JB taught his parents a lesson on our hike -- we were unprepared without any extra diapers or clothes for him...you can imagine what happened!

Then, on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, JB spent the day with his grandparents while Joe
and I hiked up Mt. Timpanogos with another couple. Joe was the "hired sherpa," as he had autioned off his services at a Rotary fundraiser. We had a great hike, and it was a beautiful day! Joe and I have hiked this mountain before, but we took a diffent trail this time. We saw lots of pretty wildflowers, and an enormous bull moose! The mountain is 11,750 ft elevation -- the second highest in UT, and the hike is about 15 miles round trip. It took us just over 9.5 hrs, and it was well-worth the effort!
